Another Day of Insanity

Yesterday afternoon we did the Max Cardio Conditioning workout. Not as many push-ups as Monday's workout, but a good one none the less.

I'm feeling a lot better since I've been working out. I have to embrace the fact that my body is going to grow, but for a person who worked so hard to lose weight this summer, this fact is hard to accept!

Started this morning off at 150. One week until we get to see pictures of our baby! Can't wait!

Zumba!!

Yesterday, we started Zumba after school! That is one crazy, booty shaking workout! I loved it!! I was a little hesitant going into the workout because I didn't know if it was going to be hard or not, but it turned out to be one sweaty, heart pumping time.

Once again, I made sure my heart rate stayed under control. I was also able to talk to entire time. I really look forward to continuing Zumba throughout the school year!!

Yesterday's Workout

Yesterday I was able to workout again!! It was such a good emotional and physical experience because I was starting to get down on myself. Being pregnant sure does take a toll on your hormones, and little things that used to be no big deal all of a sudden make you cry! I was feeling that way about my body...

I wasn't able to exercise because my life insurance blood test fell through due to some VERY high levels of AST and ASL. I had no idea what those were, but apparently they are associated with high amounts of exercise or alcohol. Well, I can ensure you there was no alcohol in my body! I had done Crossfit three days before my last blood test, but due to the intensity of the workout, my levels were still flying high. Like 659 on a normal scale of 0 - 33. No joke.

So, I stopped working out for three weeks, gave blood again Sunday morning, and am now I'm determined to get my pregnant self back into shape.

I started with Insanity. Don't worry...I modified every exercise. I didn't do any jumps and I slowed down on the ups and downs that program makes you do. I still feel good though. I did a lot of push up and squats. I never let me heart rate get over 130 and at any point in the workout, I felt like I could hold a conversation. These are the guidelines I'm following. I know my body and I defintely do not want to get back up to my pre-Kelsey weight.

Here's to dedication and (hopefully) eating healthy! :)
